Zijin Gold International (HK:2259) has delayed its planned Hong Kong listing by one day after Super Typhoon Ragasa brought the city to a standstill, the company said in a filing on Wednesday.
The gold unit of China’s Zijin Mining had planned to debut on Sept. 29, but will now list on Sept. 30. The bookbuilding process was also extended by a day.
Hong Kong issued its highest No. 10 storm warning late Tuesday as Ragasa, the world’s strongest cyclone so far this year, forced offices, markets, and transport networks to close.
Zijin Gold is seeking to raise about $3.2 billion by selling 349 million shares at HK$71.59 each, in what could be one of Hong Kong’s biggest offerings in 2025.
The delay also pushes back related deadlines by one day.
