UK house prices declined from their all-time high in September, potentially indicating that concerns about future tax increases are affecting demand from potential homebuyers.
Halifax reported Tuesday that the average home price dropped 0.3% to £298,184 ($401,010), marking the first monthly decrease since May.
The annual growth rate slowed to just 1.3% compared to the previous year, representing the smallest yearly increase since April 2024.
