Khamenei, who recently succeeded his father after the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in U.S.-Israeli strikes, has not appeared publicly since taking power, fueling speculation about his health. Iranian officials have repeatedly said he remains capable of carrying out his duties despite the ongoing conflict.
The conflicting statements come as tensions remain high between Iran and the United States amid the escalating regional war.
